RWM Livestock

The supply of quality livestock is a focal point for RWM and our customers. Beef and lamb supplied to our factories account for almost 80% of our expenditure which is why RWM have invested heavily in our livestock division.

Our goal is to have a supply base that is sustainable, healthy and of the highest quality to enable us to promote quality products from British Farmers.

In 2011 we have developed the beef improvement group and the lamb improvement group to facilitate information from the abattoirs back to our farmers. This information will include grading information as well as health and hygiene data to allow farmers to see where improvements can be made which will ultimately impact positively on the quality of stock we purchase and the profitability of the animals supplied.

RWM also uses the award winning Blade Farming beef supply chain who is now the largest supplier of beef to us. We offer guaranteed forward price contracts through the Blade operation allowing farmers to take advantage of knowing all of the costs of production and forecasting the revenue achievable.
